We finish our tour of amazing public lands in the Pacific Northwest with Mount Rainier National Park. At more than 14,000 feet, Mount Rainier stands as an icon in the Washington landscape, while the wildflower meadows and forests that ring the peak offers visitors a great place to explore. This beautiful shot of Mount Rainier – showing a sunset reflection in a lake – was taken from the north side of the peak along the Moraine Park Trail. Photo courtesy of Ed Cooper.
