When armadillos are startled, they often jump straight into the air – it’s a self-defense move that was caught in action with this video from Aransas National Wildlife Refuge in Texas. Located along the coast, Aransas is home to diverse wildlife and serves as a winter refuge to the only wild flock of whooping cranes. Video by Laura Bonneau, USFWS.
